Free antivirus for Windows

Protection from malware, ransomware and bad websites. Free for home and business, with no account.

Version 1.0 for Windows 10 and 11, x64 and ARM64

Real-time protection

Every new file is checked before it can run. Known malware is caught by signature, new threats by how they behave. Bad sites are blocked in every browser.

Quarantine

Detections are locked away where they can’t run. Each one says what was found and why. If we got it wrong, restore it in one click.

Frequently asked questions

Is ZeroDay really free?

Yes, at home and at work, on as many PCs as you like. There’s no paid version.

What does ZeroDay send to your servers?

A file’s SHA-256 hash, size, type and signer. Full files are only sent if you turn on sample sharing. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

Does it work alongside Microsoft Defender?

Windows runs one real-time antivirus at a time. While ZeroDay is on, Defender steps back. Uninstall ZeroDay and Defender switches itself back on.

ZeroDay flagged a file I trust. What should I do?

Open Quarantine, pick the file and choose Restore, then Report as safe. You can also email support@plasmatic.dev.

How do updates work?

Automatically. New detections arrive several times a day, and app updates apply when you restart.

How do I uninstall it?

Windows Settings, then Apps, then ZeroDay, then Uninstall. Restore anything you need from Quarantine first.
